Data people building the map we always wanted
KnowFirst exists because answering "who operates in this market, and what are they up to?" meant a dozen browser tabs and a spreadsheet that was out of date by Friday.
From passion project to the region's deepest business database
KnowFirst began as founder Ben Bradshaw's obsession: organise everything publicly knowable about Australian and New Zealand businesses into one place, kept current, and searchable in seconds.
That passion project grew into one of the largest sources of business and contact intelligence in the region - 238 million records covering 3 million business profiles and 12 million people profiles, refreshed continuously and used every day by sales, marketing and research teams.
The product has grown up around the same simple idea: searching should be free, you should only pay when you get something worth paying for, and the answer should be complete enough to act on.
Three commitments behind the product
Fresh beats big
A huge stale database is worse than a smaller live one. We pour effort into refresh and the feed of changes, because a phone number from three years ago is not data - it is a liability.
Honest pricing
Search free, pay per unlock, no per-seat tax on collaboration. Credits are simple: 15 to 30 cents depending on plan, and searching is always free.
Public data, handled properly
We collect only publicly available information, cross-reference it carefully, and treat removal and privacy requests seriously under our Privacy Policy.
We like hearing from the people who use this
Feature requests go straight from the app into our backlog, support questions get real answers from the team, and if you want a walkthrough of what the data can do for your market, pick a time on the contact page.
